Since 1910 Neudorf has been a state recognized and also popular holiday resort. The village is located approximately 440 meters (ca. 635 ft.) above sealevel on a high plateau, in the "Schmale Wipper" headwaters.
Neudorf has an iron containing spring which was already known for its therapeutic effects in the old days. In 1931, "Stahlquelle" was opened to tourism and contributed to Neudorf`s good reputation. In Neudorf, there are lots of traditional events, like "Witches party", "Whitsun festival", "Stahlquelle-party", guided tours, a walking tour on New Year`s Eve and many others.
Carriage- and charabanc tours, bicycle and boat hire, miniature golf, pony riding and the opportunity for petting small animals are what many visitors come to appreciate during their varied and interesting stays in our region at every time of the year. The traditional Harz`hospitality with its well-known culinary delicacies is likely to spoil you.
